Missionaries Supported by New Hope Chapel
Ray and Cindy LeClair
Ray and Cindy serve as director and associate director of the Christian Education Resource Network of Mission Eurasia. They assist a national Ukrainian non-profit organization called the International Alliance for the Development of Christian Education (IADCE), which they co-founded with leaders of Ukrainian organizations in 2015 to help guide the fledgling Christian school movement in the region. One of IADCE’s main purposes is to provide supplemental professional development training for teachers as well as formative resources on teaching Christianly that are thus far unavailable in most of the countries IADCE strives to serve. Christian schools in Ukraine, officially recognized only as recently as 2016, have continued to multiply even during this difficult period of war and population displacement.
Specifically, Ray and Cindy identify culturally adaptable teacher training resources from leading Christian educational organizations in the West and assist in the areas of translation, fundraising, as well as providing financial and project accountability to all partners. Ray continues to serve as IADCE board chairman, and both he and Cindy advise the staff of IADCE-Kyiv on numerous issues and projects.
Following evacuation from Kyiv, Ukraine at the time of the Russian invasion, the LeClairs have relocated to the USA, where they continue to serve remotely with IADCE-Ukraine under the umbrella of Mission Eurasia.
